When the fox and rabbit fall in the river, barely escaping a large waterfall, they eventually find shelter from the rain, where they find a tree snake, dangerous it would be if the rabbit did not worn the fox that the snake was about to strike. That was when the rabbit realized that size did not matter, it's what you do with what you have. Once they both return to rabbits hole, they realize that no matter how limited their abilities are, they can do anything they want when they put their minds in to it. The fact that the fox could have had the rabbit - anytime, he choose to help him, the rabbit saw that even a small defenseless creature could find a friend in one you least expect.
