First US Softcover (issued without a D/W). A single issue of the popular US espionage magazine, which features Berlin Escape (originally called "The Living Daylights") by Ian Fleming. The Living Daylights was first published in book format a year later (in Octopussy and the Living Daylights) but it first saw the light of day in The Sunday Times magazine in 1962; the US version, Berlin Escape, was published as a single story in Argosy magazine a little later, so this is by no means the first appearance of the Bond short story. Softcover (pictorial paper wrappers). Occasional b/w illustrations. Uniform tanning to the pages, this is a much better copy than normally seen with clean and tight contents.
