Good condition used hardback with brown gilded boards. Published circa 1887 (un-dated) by James Nisbet & Co, London. Author: L. Wallace. Approx dims: 195mm h x 135mm w x 40mm d. Intact used condition illustrated brown cover boards, with slightly faded gilt. Intact spine with some bumping and signs of handling, faded gilt. 447 clean/slightly tanned pages of English text with b&w frontis and three b&w illustrations. Some light pencil highlighting and slight handling marks to some pages by previous owner. Previous owner's name in black hand-written ink at top of inside leaf and also at top inside blank pages before title page. Page ends browned. Image shown is actual book for sale.
