Oblong quarto. Hardcover. Bound in red leather patterned paper with gilt titles in illustrated jacket. 153 pages : illustrations (some color) ; 24 x 26 cm. Traces the ownership of the Bell Ranch, beginning in the early 1800s with Pablo Montoya, who was first granted title by the Mexican government to the 655,468 acres comprising the original ranch, to 1973. George Ellis managed the Bell Ranch for almost a quarter century and was one of but six men who served as general manager in its 150-year history. Donald Ornduff, well known cattle editor, writer and researcher sets the historical stage for the story, and Robert Lougheed provides the illustrations. VG/G+. Jacket spine is sunned, panels are rubbed, and a few tears/chips around edges. Inscribed to a prominent New York art dealer by Lougheed.

Our specialties include the Humanities, with an emphasis on Art, Architecture, Photography, Decorative Arts, History, as well as Periodicals related to those areas. We have very rare as well as fairly common titles. Current inventory is approximately 79,000 titles. We have about 1000' of backlog in our specialties numbering over 30,000 items (including 20,000+ smaller and ephemeral catalogues devoted to individual artist exhibitions). Current stock occupies over 2.3 miles of shelving. We are active buyers as well as very active sellers, and supply entire reference libraries as well as individual titles. We ship books almost everywhere, with the exception of China due to restrictions. Our website mullenbooks.com maintains our entire database of over 150,000 titles dynamically, so you can submit "wants" for books which are listed, but not currently in-stock.
