In his memoir spanning seven decades in the entertainment industry, Bob Booker takes us on a hilarious ride of behind-the-scenes stories of some of the most famous personalities in music, television and comedy. Whether interviewing the likes of Bobby Darin during his days at WINZ radio, hanging out with Sinatra and his cronies in Miami, traversing NYC’s comedy clubs with Lenny Bruce, or reveling in hijinks with Don Rickles in Los Angeles, Booker pulls back the curtain to reveal his entertaining life with some of the greatest superstars of all time – Sammy Davis, Jr., Sidney Poitier, Burt Reyolds, Mickey Rooney, Ray Charles, Richard Pryor, Ava Gardner, Ellen DeGeneres, Connie Francis, and more. He shares his account, as a struggling writer in NYC, as he co-writes and produces the fastest selling record history – The First Family, the 1962 satirical portrait of JFK. Beginning as a project no studio would “touch with a ten-foot pole”, the Grammy winning album began became a pop culture sensation for a generation of Americans.
