Blue Oxford hardcover in decent shape. Considerable staining at edges of pages, dust jacket, from foxing, but the interiors remain clean and bright. Cover sturdy, binding solid. Dust jacket shows signs of wear, staining, but remains intact and dependable. 1969 reprint of 1956 text, having been out of print between 1963 and 1969. B&W prints with fold out map, 281 pp. A fine addition to any collection of Oxford texts, or any library dedicated to African history.
