Print on Demand. This book, first published in 1913, by notable author Samuel French, is a classic portrayal of the social and moral dynamics at play in the charitable societies of early 20th century America, through the lens of a women's group preparing for a rummage sale. The book navigates the complex themes of class, morality, charity and social responsibility, touching upon the difficulties faced by both the well-to-do organizers and those benefiting from their charitable efforts. This insightful work will engage readers interested in American social history, the roles of women in the early 1900s, and the balance between social obligation and personal failing. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
