Item description from seller

22 x 27cm 226pp very good paperback exhibition catalogue. Shin Egashira is an architect, artist and educator. This book chronicles a decade of annual summer architectural workshops led by him in the remote, mountainous village of Koshirakura, located north of Tokyo. During these workshops, architecture students collaborate with local elderly residents to design and construct structures intended to enrich and sustain the local community. The text serves as an extensive archive of the project, combining project documentation, students' personal diaries, essays, and visual imagery. Black and white reproductions throughout.
