How to Stay Relevant in an Ever-Changing World
The world is changing faster than ever.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping industries. Automation is transforming careers. New skills are replacing old ones. The rules of success that worked yesterday may no longer guarantee success tomorrow.
The question is no longer "Will the world change?"
The question is "Will you change with it?"
Too many talented professionals quietly become passengers in their own careers. They rely on past achievements, resist change, wait for opportunities, and hope experience alone will keep them relevant.
The professionals who thrive take a different approach.
They become drivers.
In Don't Become the Passenger, executive coach Kishore Kumar Thakur draws on more than 25 years of corporate leadership experience and over 6,000 hours of executive coaching to reveal the mindsets that distinguish professionals who continue to grow from those who gradually become irrelevant.
This is not a book about surviving change.
It is a practical guide to leading yourself through change—with confidence, adaptability, and purpose.
Inside this book, you will discover how to:
- Break free from the comfort that quietly limits growth.
- Develop a learning mindset that keeps you ahead of change.
- Build capabilities that remain valuable even as industries evolve.
- Increase your visibility without self-promotion.
- Strengthen judgment in a world overflowing with information.
- Reinvent yourself before circumstances force you to.
- Build influence by helping others grow.
- Lead your career instead of reacting to it.
Through engaging stories, practical leadership insights, coaching reflections, and actionable exercises, each chapter equips you with tools you can apply immediately to your career and life.
Whether you are an emerging professional, an experienced manager, a senior executive, an entrepreneur, or someone navigating an important career transition, this book will help you build the habits and mindset needed to remain relevant in an ever-changing world.
This book is for you if you want to:
• Future-proof your career.
• Become more adaptable and resilient.
• Lead with confidence during uncertainty.
• Stay valuable in the age of AI and continuous disruption.
• Create lasting impact instead of simply keeping up.
The future doesn't belong to the strongest.
