This item is printed on demand - Print on Demand Titel. Neuware -Beatrix Potter: Complete Works gathers the tales, verses, and illustrations that made Potter one of the defining figures of modern children's literature. From The Tale of Peter Rabbit to lesser-known stories, the collection reveals her gift for miniature drama: mischievous animals, precise domestic detail, and moral consequence rendered with wit rather than sentimentality. Her prose is economical, musical, and slyly observant, while the illustrations combine natural-history accuracy with narrative charm, placing her work within both the Victorian picture-book tradition and the emerging twentieth-century art of the child's illustrated classic. Potter herself was a keen observer of nature, an accomplished amateur mycologist, and a woman whose imaginative life was shaped by solitude, sketching, and country landscapes. Her knowledge of animals, gardens, farms, and rural economies informs every page. Later, as a Lake District landowner and conservationist, she brought to her writing a deep respect for place, inheritance, and the fragile balance between human order and wild vitality. This volume is recommended for readers seeking more than nostalgia. It offers children delight, adults literary craft, and scholars a compact archive of visual storytelling, ecological attention, and enduring narrative intelligence. 484 pp. Englisch.…
