nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Beatrix Potter: Complete Works gathers the beloved animal tales that transformed nursery literature: The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Benjamin Bunny, and their companions. These stories combine brisk moral comedy, precise natural observation, and exquisitely controlled prose, often pairing domestic realism with the peril and freedom of the countryside. Set within the Golden Age of children's literature, Potter's work is distinguished by its miniature scale, watercolor delicacy, and unsentimental understanding of animal and child psychology. Born in London in 1866, Potter was educated largely at home, where drawing, natural history, and close study of plants and animals shaped her imagination. Her scientific interests, including serious work on fungi, informed the accuracy of her illustrations and the quiet authority of her rural worlds. After privately printing The Tale of Peter Rabbit, she became one of the most successful children's authors of her age, later using her earnings to preserve farms and landscapes in the Lake District. This volume is highly recommended for readers seeking both literary charm and cultural significance. Children will delight in its wit and suspense, while adults will discover a sophisticated artist whose concise tales remain models of narrative economy, visual intelligence, and ecological attentiveness.…
