Much in this unique novel by a writer who knew the sea and focuses on the quite ordinary bluejackets assigned to the battleship Nevada. As J.P. Morse, Commander, US Navy writes: "Fast-moving and straightforward. Battleship could have been written only by someone who was there." Book has hundreds of favorable reviews including one by Bob Laxalt of the University of Nevada an expert on the Nevada ship.
