Paperback. BD Anklevich brings you the second volume of his finest short stories. It's a collection filled with frightening, interesting, and engaging tales from the horror, science fiction, and fantasy genres. Stories like "The Battle of Ideas," where a writer's story ideas are embodied in his dreams and threaten to flee for greener pastures if he doesn't get his act together and put pen to paper to give them life, then he wakes with a bloody nose and a screaming headache. If he doesn't do something, he may well not survive the process. Or "The Tenth Album," where a man's high school best friend suddenly walks into his record store and starts looking through the Van Halen albums. The only problem is, that friend died years ago. He can't be there. Or "Chloey, Joey, Zoey, and David Bowie" where a three friends are enjoying their last night of freedom before the new school year begins, when they see an amazing celestial show. As they run to see if they can find the asteroid where it actually came crashing down, their friendship is changed forever, and they meet someone they never expected to find in rural Montana. Or "Eye-opening," where a young boy awakens to the news that he has been healed of the cancer that has plagued him but, for some reason, his mother and father are not as happy about the news as one might expect. Or "Last Contact" where a teenage boy is forced to be lab partners with Tiffany, the alien creature that is a transfer student to his school. He is mortified and irritated, but discovers that maybe the aliens are more human than he first thought. And there's several more where those come from. It's a collection of stories that's certain to interest, excite, and keep you thinking. Contains the stories The Battle of the Ideas; True Colors; The Tenth Album; Something Out There; Euthanasia; Stalled; Through the Din of Silence; Chloey, Joey, Zoey, and David Bowie; The Tomorrow Bowl; Queen Bea; My Daughter's Balloon; Eye-opening; The Wrong Ingredients; Young Blue Eyes; Prime Shipping; and Last Contact.
