In this invaluable step-by-step guide to basic schooling, the authors acknowledge that not every horse is perfect and that when training it is important to take account of individual characteristics, both mental and physical, and to develop a programme that is both practical and achievable. The authors also stress that all riding is training and the horse cannot be expected to do what is required of him if he is given confused and contradictory signals. The onus is upon the rider to adopt the correct posture and apply the aids with care and accuracy at all times. To this end, Martin Diggle's intelligent and illuminating text together with Maggie Raynor's accurate and inspirational artwork will assist the reader to discover the best way to train his or her particular horse up to the requirements of basic dressage tests; the acknowledged route to any specialized discipline. Whether the aim is to compete, or simply to enhance the pleasures of recreational riding, this attractive book will both delight and inform anyone wishing to develop a successful relationship between horse and rider. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.…

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
