Softcover without dust jacket in very good condition. Cover with slight creasing to front top corner. Pages clean and unmarked and filled with color photographs of car. Sam and George Barris weren't the founders of the custom car scene, but their work epitomized customizing, and in the fifties they were at the leading edge of their craft. This portfolio of their work in that lively decade lets you examine the range of their creativity. They produced vehicles that were shapely and subtle, and also created cars whose customizing was colorful, loud and extreme. Included photography by George Barris, when he was a leading magazine writer and book author, chronicling and directing the world of kustoms.
