Seguramente, más de un amable lector que se adentre en la lectura de este disparate de la vida que es Baltasar Castreño, resultará sorprendido, ¡o tal vez no! de las vivencias que aquí se presentan y acontecen. Para otros, en cambio, les resultará muy familiar el entorno y desenvolvimiento del protagonista; bien porque estas experiencias en América se las escucharon a otros o, sencillamente, porque el lector ocasional, también forme parte de la diáspora emigrante que un día se decidió a cruzar el mar, a "mirar más allá", a ver qué había al otro lado de la orilla del inmenso océano.
Esta historia, quede claro, no es ficticia y todo lo que aquí acontece y desarrolla, son hechos reales, tal y a como a este humilde escritor se lo contó el protagonista. El autor de este libro sabe, por experiencia que vidas como la de Baltasar y entre la comunidad emigrante, española en este caso, historias similares podrían narrarse a cientos, y a cuál más fascinantes. El hecho de que el autor en Baltasar es Nombre de Rey, también haya sido un vividor y aventurero en tierras americanas, corrobora el hecho de que la existencia de un emigrante sea en cualquier momento una exposición esperpéntica, una auténtica ristra de disparates, de grandezas humanas, de heroicidades, de felicidad y conquista y también de tragedia y muerte. La sangre española está sembrada y derramada de punta a punta del continente americano.
Es por ello que la vida de Baltasar Castreño y en lo que al autor del libro se refiere, se presenta como un homenaje, como una real muestra de admiración a miles de españoles que, desde hace siglos, llegaron, y siguen llegando, a tierras americanas. Tierras en donde una raza como la española, ha contribuido, no con su granito de arena, sino con montañas, con toneladas de arena, al engrandecimiento de América de uno a otro confín, aunque pretendan opacarlo, los ignorantes, acomplejados y envenenados por la leyenda negra urdida por Inglaterra, en contra de su odiada y admirada España, mal que les pese.
Baltasar Castreño, nombre ficticio de un personaje real, es una muestra del coraje y virtudes, anteriormente señaladas.

You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Bookmonger.Ltd, HILLSIDE, New Jersey, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
