THE BALL OF EVERLAIN
Vienna Vale never wanted the invitation.
Especially not one sealed with black wax and dated forty-seven years too early.
But when a violent winter storm traps her inside Everlain Castle, leaving becomes impossible.
Inside the castle, clocks run backward. Hallways change overnight. Guests begin forgetting pieces of themselves. And somewhere beneath the chandeliers and masquerade music, people quietly disappear.
At the center of Everlain stands Lucien Everlain:
beautiful,
cold,
dangerous-
and hiding truths older than the Ball itself.
The longer Vienna remains inside the castle, the more Everlain seems to awaken around her. Memories decay. Shadows move through locked corridors. Strange figures wander hidden galleries beneath the castle. And Vienna begins to realize that Everlain is not haunted.
It is alive.
Worse still, the castle has started noticing her.
As fear spreads through the trapped guests and the line between reality and memory begins to fracture, Vienna is pulled deeper into Everlain's secrets-and deeper toward Lucien, the one man she should never trust.
Because Lucien is not simply guarding the castle.
He belongs to it.
And the more they fall for each other, the more dangerous Everlain becomes to them both.
