Hunter Youker was just a normal kid in New York, finishing up his homework on a quiet April evening. He didn't know that a short nap would change everything. After falling through the floor of his own home, Hunter awakens in a nightmare: an infinite, yellow-tinted maze of damp carpet and buzzing fluorescent lights.

Trapped in the "Backrooms," Hunter must navigate a series of surreal and hostile levels. From the claustrophobic corridors of the first room to a terrifying, industrial warehouse and the silent, chlorinated depths of the Poolrooms, he is hunted by creatures that defy explanation and guided by clues left by those who came before him.

As his grip on reality slips and his supplies run low, Hunter begins to realize that the exits might be a lie, and the maze is much, much larger than he ever imagined.

Will Hunter find the way home, or will he become just another part of the decor?
