“They say cats have nine lives so I’ve been giving them a bit of a run. I’ve died three times on an operating table and had the same number of goes at killing myself. Luckily, the doctors were brilliant at saving my life and I was crap at ending it.”
When Daniel Biddle woke on July 7th 2005 with a terrible headache he considered calling in sick. But his conscientious decision to struggle into work would have devastating consequences and change his life forever.
The most injured survivor of the worst single terrorist atrocity on British soil, Dan’s struggle to piece his life back together is harrowing and haunting.
This is an unflinching portrait of a man’s fight to recover both his body and his mind; a damning indictment of the political machinations surrounding the event and, ultimately, a heartwarming and inspirational love story as Dan learns to live again.
