Book is clean with a square, tight binding and off white pages. Both covers have creases and book has minor wear on the edges that is difficult to see in the scans. Long regarded as the greatest Soviet novel of World War II - comparable in stature to Norman Mailer's The Naked and the Dead-Babi Yar is a vivid and disturbing story of the childhood experiences of a young Russian boy living in the Ukraine at the time of the Nazi invasion. Out of the searing ordeal of those years, A. Anatoli (Kuznetsov) has created a novel of unsparing truth. Ruthlessly distorted in its original version by Russian censors, this is the first publication of Babi Yar as its author intended it to be read. The book you see in the images is the actual book we have for sale. When you buy this book from us, you are helping to support a small brick and mortar family owned store.
