A Superb unblemished "Collectors Copy" of this 2 volume set edited by the poet Edward Thomas & including contributions by the leading nature writers of the time.Large Quarto [12"X9"] vii + 240 + [12] pp. and xvi + 240 pp. Illustrated with 49 tipped-in colour plates with a Frontispiece to each volume and in original publishers cloth. Thomas contributed three or more essays to each volume. First issued in parts as a periodical at six monthly intervals the title and contents pages were sent to subscribers and at the end of the year the collected issues were sent to the publishers to be collated and bound. However the system proved unpopular with the result that completed bound sets are now scarce. Seller Inventory # 7006
