His plan takes him to the court of Arther, High King of Britannia, and into the elite fellowship sent forth to acquire the greatest relic in Christendom - the Holy Grail. Caught up in an uneasy alliance, he and his fellow warriors must journey across a treacherous continent, pitting their skill against the earthly powers of the Franks and Goths and confronting the spiritual might of the Church itself. The Grail will demand the utmost - even the ultimate - sacrifice from all the questors, but it is Galahad alone who, when their goal is within reach, must make the final decision between revenge and redemption.

About the Author
Susan holds a PhD in English Literature, and has worked as a Special Collections librarian and teacher. She currently teaches English and Latin at a private school in Mississippi. Her previous publications include academic papers, poetry, and radio commentaries. She began writing fiction seriously as a response to the culture shock of moving from London to rural America; she continues with the support and inspiration she has found in an eclectic university community.
Her special interest is in the Middle Ages. Writing historical novels enables her to combine her love of literature and history with her background as a researcher. The Book of Galahad is based on recent theories of the historical King Arthur and influenced by the style of Thomas Malory's fifteenth century Le Morte D'Arthur. She is currently writing a Viking Age novel based on the Sagas of Icelanders.
