On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed that all who believe in Him would be one.
Yet today, Christianity is represented by tens of thousands of denominations worldwide, each with a slightly different message, each still claiming to represent His.
Could the original gospel proclaimed by the apostles hold the key to the unity for which Jesus prayed?
That question leads to three more.
- Why did Jesus pray that His followers would be one?
- What did the apostles actually preach?
- How does God still call men and women into His body today?
Something went wrong a long time before you were born.
One man made a choice that changed the legal ownership of the entire human race. You were not consulted. But you were born into the consequences. Every person who has ever lived has been born into a Kingdom they did not choose, under a ruler they did not elect, carrying a debt they did not incur.
This book is about that debt, and about how it gets cleared, and how you can transition out of that kingdom.
It follows a single thread: a promise, carried through one bloodline, running as one unbroken pattern through every page of Scripture, and arriving at one moment, one door, one question.
One Body follows the unfolding story of Scripture, from the promises made to Abraham, through the Law and the Prophets, to their fulfilment in Jesus Christ and the message proclaimed by His apostles. By allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture, it traces one continuous message from Genesis to Revelation.
The apostles preached a specific gospel. They baptised people in a specific way. The pattern never varied. Not in Jerusalem, not in Ephesus, not in Philippi. Not once.
This book asks whether you have responded to the pattern the apostles laid down.
Not what you were told to do. Not what your tradition expects. What the record actually shows, from the first sermon Peter preached, to the last salvation recorded in Acts.
Your answer will either put words to what you have always sensed, or show you what you were never taught. Either way, you will know where you stand.
“Everything finally fits into one clear picture. Especially baptism.”
— Ian Rheeder, Lecturer, Gordon Institute of Business Science
The Bible tells one story. It proclaims one gospel. It reveals how God calls men and women into one body in Christ.
“Every gospel presentation I have ever heard told me what to believe. This was the first one that showed me why it was necessary and how it actually works.”
— Wonder Tshimangadzo, Electrician, Limpopo
“This book beautifully simplifies the convergence of Blood, Water and Spirit in God’s Covenantal design. An absolute must for laying the clear biblical foundation.”
— Keziah K Smith, Fully Jewish, fully born again.
Come and hear again the original gospel proclaimed by the apostles, the gospel that changed the world, and still calls men and women into one body in Christ.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone.
