ALTHOUGH HE LOST HIS SIGHT, HE NEVER LOST HIS VISION!
BLIND STRENGTH is a uniquely entertaining and captivating Autobiography and Resurgence Strategy written by nationally recognized high performance athlete, humanitarian, and legally blind author, Chris Delaney.
During adversity, the struggles we are forced to endure can leave us questioning whether we have the stamina, courage, resiliency, and mental fortitude to prevail. BLIND STRENGTH takes readers on an unforgettable adventure in self-discovery and equips them with essential tools to turn their life around and conquer their adversity in the most positive ways possible. Designed to be a portable VISION BOARD, Chris's captivating and innovative Visionary Playbook has over 380 inspiring quotes and 135 color pictures depicting his journey. He also shares the 11-Stage Resurgence Strategy he developed out of sheer necessity, which enabled him not to merely survive this life, but to THRIVE throughout it!
Chris was 22, enjoying the start of a promising new firefighting career, and aspiring to play professional football when suddenly tragedy struck, Chris Delaney was going BLIND. As his sight worsened, debilitating depression began to consume him as he watched his career, income, license, independence, football, future, and once perfect sight, deteriorate. Broken and in despair, Chris turned to alcohol to escape. With his sight and judgement impaired, Chris attempted to end his life. Surviving the attempt and witnessing the pain it caused his mother, Chris vowed he would RISE AGAIN, and RISE he did! BLIND STRENGTH is the comeback story of a lifetime! Motivated by the desire to help others, Chris shares his unique strategy and remarkably inspiring life story of how he lost everything in the blink of an eye but fought tirelessly to rebuild a life of purpose and overcame challenges on his way to:
● Be the first blind Canadian to cycle an average 100 miles a day across Canada & raised over $250,000 for eye research.
● Be named "One of the top 100 Canadians to watch for."
● Travel to Africa where he helped with school-building & clean water projects.
● Raise millions in awareness and funds for several notable causes & charities.
● Compete on the North American Bodybuilding Stage.
● Run a full marathon.
● Receive Rotary Clubs International "Paul Harris Fellowship Award" for his commitment to volunteerism & improving the quality of life for others.
● Create an award-winning, revolutionary food product.
● Be named "One of the top 10 innovators in Canadian food."
● Transform hundreds of lives as a successful fitness coach & much more!
Using many of the principles Chris used to build a solid reputation transforming the lives and physiques of hundreds over three decades, he believes that strengthening the MIND is similar to strengthening the BODY; with the right approach and guidance, a person will realize who they are and what they are truly capable of achieving. Chris Delaney's BLIND STRENGTH will provide readers with INSPIRATION, STRENGTH, GUIDANCE, and HOPE to overcome challenges, and, through Chris's CLARITY and SELF-DISCOVERY exercises, readers will recognize that everything they need to remain strong in adversity lives within them!
