About this Item

Green boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover. Previous bookseller's stamp verso front free endpaper. Previous owner's inscription on title page. Edges well discoloured and lightly foxed. This is the case with the pages throughout the book. There are also some small stains on the occasional page. Title page is stained and a little watermarked. Binding is loosening. Split quite seriously at the front paste down. Illustrations are in good condition. Head and tail of spine bumped, and showing wear and tear. Corners are also well rounded and showing some wear. Covers are nicely thumbed and rubbed. There are some scuff marks and light stains on both front and back covers. This book is in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound.
