Paperback. This collection of short stories by Lee Hanson explores the thin veil between reality and the supernatural, often featuring characters who discover hidden truths about their existence. Several narratives focus on artificial intelligence and simulation, such as a man who learns his entire life is a digital construct and a computer unit named Wot who attempts to gain a physical body. Other tales involve historical and paranormal encounters, including the awakening of a two-thousand-year-old soldier and a massive seance that successfully summons the spirits of legendary figures like Houdini. Supernatural justice is another recurring theme, evidenced by a haunted car that assists its new owner in tracking down a murderer. Throughout the sampler, the author utilizes speculative fiction to challenge the boundaries of memory, technology, and the afterlife. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
