Born into the illustrious Tagore household, the youngest of thirteen, Rabindranath Tagore grew up amid loss, longing, and a quiet hunger for love that would shape his inner world.
From the tender companionship of Kadambari Devi to the youthful spark of Nalini, from marriage to Mrinalini Devi to later muses like Ranu Adhikary, Indira Devi, and Victoria Ocampo, love arrived in many forms and seasons of his life.
This book asks a daring question: was Tagore’s heart guided only by divine love, or did human affection, desire, and pain leave deeper imprints on his genius?
Blending biography, emotion, and careful research, it traces how affection, remorse, joy, and sorrow fused to shape one of the world’s greatest literary minds.
Chronological, intimate, and reflective, this collector’s edition reveals how Tagore was ultimately immortalized through the women who became his timeless companions in love.
