Neuware - 'It was never about figuring out who a toy is for and building around that. It's about not deciding for a kid who they're allowed to be before they've even had the chance to tell you. Sterling spent twenty-six years asking what girls should want. I just asked what they actually wanted, and let them answer for themselves.'BARBIE is a contemporary women's fiction novel about a toy designer who risks a six-figure career to build the dolls a major corporation refused to make. When Amara Brooks pitches an adaptive, diverse doll collection and gets rejected by the executives above her, she walks away from a promotion to launch her own toy company from her sister's bedroom floor - betting everything on the belief that every child deserves to see themselves on the shelf. A fast-paced, emotionally grounded story of identity, ambition, sisterhood, and entrepreneurship, this self-discovery fiction novel is perfect for readers who love inspiring workplace fiction, female-led business stories, and books about representation and finding your own definition of success.…
