Paperback. Champion Tom Carpenter provides a comprehensive breakdown of the use of the punching ball in this 1922 volume. Carpenter showcases the best practices for using what we call today the speedbag, floor to ceiling ball, and maize bag. These items were exciting innovations at the time of publication but require more nuance than traditional bag punching. This pictural guide showcase how to use the equipment and how to best link usage to general boxing skills and attribute development. Carpenter's work is one of the few dedicate solely to this piece of equipment and is perhaps the most comprehensive in its depth, detail and guidance on getting the best out of speedball training. Designed as an easy access guide, it provides tips for amateurs and fitness orientated athletes, all the way through to burgeoning amateurs and professionals in the noble art. This 1922 guide from Tom Carpenter is a response to the 'speedbag' craze of the early part of the century. It showcases via clear instructions and photography how to best use tools such as maize, speed and double-end bags for fitness and fighting skills. This item is printed on demand.
