Neuware - If you have been blessed by the biblical story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, this book is for you. The inspiring story is presented in a creative, figurative, and allegorical form. You will read this amazing story and be left encouraged and deepened in your own faith in God who steps into the fire and delivers us. You'll feel like you went back 2,500 years to the time of Daniel when the nation of Judah was carried off into Babylonian exile. You'll think you were there, listening to their conversations, feeling their pain, and trusting their God.' Be prepared for a twist. This short narrative captures the powerful testimony of the story that lies hidden in the Hebrew, embedded as brushstrokes by God to be discovered. The theological nuances of faith, obedience, failure, faithlessness, judgment and grace abound - along with an open door to the missional conversation about the Character and Nature of a 'sending' God. This story is written in the spirit of the Rabbinic Midrash tradition. The Midrash was an ancient form of rabbinical exposition of stories found in the Old Testament. They viewed the creative retelling of the Bible stories as praiseworthy attempts to familiarize people in a way that provided commentary about the sacred text. This custom was a basis for practical application and observance, especially since they were so far removed from the context of the original events. Midrashim (plural) are not literal interpretations, but figurative and allegorical, written with the expressed purpose of confirming the truths of the Bible to encourage a manner of faith and practice for the hearers. Although there is no such Babylonian Fire Scroll, I pray this rabbinic-style of artistic adaptation will be a blessing, a challenge and an encouragement to your faith. This modern retelling of an old story highlights the brushstrokes embedded in the Hebrew language that we might be astonished by the colorful hues of God's grace and the splashes of His glory.…
