Unlock the hidden value of B2B marketplaces before the competition captures it. Companies that cannot measure, manage, and improve their marketplace operations lose revenue, waste resources, and fall behind faster-moving rivals. This guide delivers a proven, data-driven path to turn a chaotic marketplace into a strategic profit engine.
The core of the book is a structured Self-Assessment built on the RDMAICS framework - Recognize, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control, Sustain. Hundreds of targeted questions cover every facet of a B2B marketplace, from partner onboarding and contract governance to pricing algorithms and performance monitoring. Readers rate each statement on a five-point scale, and the system automatically generates a radar-chart Scorecard that highlights strengths and gaps at a glance. Even professionals with limited marketplace experience can quickly see where their organization stands and where immediate action is required.
Included Professional Toolkit (40-48 Practitioner Tools): All toolkit content is generated fresh at the time of purchase, ensuring alignment with the latest marketplace standards and industry practices. The toolkit is organized into ten logical sections - Getting Started, Assessment and Planning, Models and Frameworks, Processes and Handoffs, Operations and Execution, Performance and KPIs, Quality and Compliance, Sustainment and Support, Advanced Topics, and Reference. It contains more than twenty-eight Excel workbooks and sixteen PDF guides, each formatted with three-sheet structures (Instructions, Template, Pro Tips & Common Mistakes) or embedded quick-reference cards. Highlights include maturity assessments with scored improvement paths, gap-analysis matrices, decision-framework scorecards, implementation roadmaps, stakeholder-mapping diagrams, process runbooks, KPI dashboard templates, risk matrices, audit checklists, and concise reference cards. Every deliverable is crafted specifically for B2B marketplaces - no generic project-management forms.
Every purchase also grants Lifetime Updates. As marketplace technologies, regulatory requirements, and best-practice frameworks evolve, buyers receive refreshed content and newly created toolkit assets at no additional cost, keeping their strategic advantage current.
This book is ideal for procurement managers tasked with consolidating supplier portals, head of digital commerce who must align platform performance with corporate goals, and operations directors responsible for scaling marketplace transactions while maintaining compliance. For example, a procurement manager launching a new supplier network can use the assessment to benchmark readiness, apply the roadmap templates to plan rollout phases, and monitor progress with the KPI dashboards.
Developed by The Art of Service, business process architects serving over 100,000 professionals across 160 countries since 2000. Every book and toolkit draws on 25 years of operational excellence research and a continuously updated knowledge base spanning hundreds of industry frameworks.
