folio [33x21cm] softack. 22 pages of text, 10 pages of diagramatic figures, and 18 coloured folding plans showing the A.B.C. defence plans for the various classes of merchant ships. very good condition issued at the height of the cold war, this Admiralty document outlines the measures that should be taken to protect merchant ships from the effects of blast from both conventional and nuclear atack. also included are various loose sheets of confidential correspondence, mostly for Ellerman Lines, relating to the A.B.C. measures of defence, and some later, 1970's, correspondence relating to the West Scotland Control area of the UK Port and Shipping Organisation.
