(Old Books, Leather Book Bindings, Autograph Album, Americana). Autographs. Published c.1880, United States. Period leather oblong binding, gilt cover lettering, all edges gilt. Blank pages, c. 70 pages, ornamented title page printed in gold ink. With 16 autographs inscriptions dating 1883-7. Most pages remain blank, good antique album to re-purpose for modern usages. Binding remains clean, tight, and sound. Some scuffing and age wear to leather, but leather remains supple, binding sound and sturdy, looks like what it is- an old leather album. Interior contents display a pleasing clean age patina. Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
