Paperback. Every time we do an Internet search, we're contributing to autocomplete. And every time a browser autocompletes our search query, with a word or even a phrase, it's showing us what millions of other people all over the world actually searched for, from "Why is Ryan Gosling eating cereal?" to "If the Earth is round why are shoes flat?" This book takes the best, real autocomplete suggestions offered up by popular search engines, and compiles them into one hilarious, fascinating, and mildly disturbing collection. The author provides the search queries, and then uses computer code to extract ten autocomplete suggestions, ranked from most to least common. The best results are funny, sad, strange, and beautiful. They provide a nearly unfiltered look at what people actually search for when they think no one's watching, and just maybe, they show us that we're all more alike than we think: even in our deepest, darkest Internet history. A curated collection of the funniest, saddest, strangest, and most beautiful autocomplete suggestions that search engines have to offer. Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability. …
