Since its debut in 1861, the Authors Card Game has delighted players of all ages with its unique blend of fun and learning. This classic educational card game includes a 52-card deck featuring portraits of 13 of the world’s most celebrated writers, each with four of their greatest literary works. The object is simple yet engaging: collect complete “books”― four cards of the same author―by asking other players for their cards, as you discover timeless authors and stories.
The deck highlights literary icons such as Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, Louisa May Alcott, and Edgar Allan Poe. Perfect for classrooms, family game nights, or literature enthusiasts, this literary card game makes learning about great authors both interactive and fun. Designed for versatility, the cards also include standard indices in both corners, allowing them to double as a traditional 52-card deck.
Key Features:
- Classic Educational Card Game: First published in 1861, this timeless deck blends strategy, memory, and literary knowledge
- Celebrated Literary Legends: Features 13 great writers including Twain, Dickens, Shakespeare, Alcott, Poe, and more
- Fun Family Gameplay: Easy-to-learn rules make it perfect for both kids and adults, ideal for classrooms and family game nights
- Versatile 52-Card Deck: Includes standard indices, so it can also be used for many traditional card games
- Durable and Collectible: High-quality printing with colorful portraits, a must-have for game collectors and literature lovers
Perfect for teachers, students, families, and classic game collectors, the Authors Card Game is an entertaining and educational way to celebrate the world’s greatest writers.
