After publishing Audel's guide to the gasoline engine, this volume deal with virtually all aspects of automobiles in the period just before World War I. It explains not only many of the basics but also some of the unique factors of repair on cars just before the uniformity of Ford's production line. While the principles of the gasoline engine are relatively unchanged, this volume deals with the Cadillac Cylinder V8, the Harley-Davidson clutch (p. 374a), as well as pictures of its two-speed hub (p. 374b).
