Very Good copy in a partial original dust jacket of this scarce 1913 New Revised Edition of A B C of Auction Bridge, including the influential "New Count" system by G. Edward Atherton of the Philadelphia Racquet Club. Published by David McKay, Philadelphia. The original red pictorial hardcover, featuring bright white lettering and playing-card illustrations, remains remarkably well preserved with virtually no bumping, rubbing, or significant wear. Binding is tight and sound. Approximately one-half of the original dust jacket survives and is included. The interior is clean and unmarked, showing only light age-related foxing throughout. An attractive and increasingly collectible example of an early bridge manual from the formative years of Auction Bridge, documenting a pivotal period in the evolution of the game before the emergence of Contract Bridge. BR Shelf 8.
