Published by James Wyld, Successor to Mr. Faden, 5 Charing Cross. All maps and charts present including world maps to the front. Borders are almost certainly hand coloured. This truly is a superb copy of this highly sought after atlas. All the more so due to its provenance of having belonged to AWF and JFC Fuller from whose descendants' collection this was acquired. The front free end paper is inscribed "Walter Fuller, June 1892" in black ink. (This was AWF's first name.) his brother, JFC, is more famous as a military historian and pioneer of mechanized warfare during WW1.) There is a further pencilled inscription explaining the book in AWF's hand (as in many of the books in the collection.) This reads "Interesting maps of N.S.W. & Tasmania when only those parts of Aust. were colonised" Making this copy a really unique piece. There is a little browning and foxing thoroughout, but nothing at all severe. Quarter leather with marbled paper covered boards. A little edge wear especially to leather at the head and foot of the spine and the fore edge corners. Seller Inventory # 006849
