Back from the largest battle to ever happen in a single system, Lucas Tardif finds things at home have changed, fast. Not only have the few followers he had before leaving grown into a full company of thirty-six infantry, but they are all equipped with armor and trained by the local Ranger Colonel. Turns out his mother has plans for him and his newly named Atlantis Rebels. They are to scout the region outside of the pirate band in search of potential living systems, minerals to mine or even new societies.
As they start their new mission, it quickly turns into tragedy, or so the people at home believe, as the Rebels' ship falls into the gravity pull of a wormhole. Somehow Lucas is able to guide the pilot through and by some miracle they all survive the trip, but they did not travel alone. They find a being called a Creator, tasked with overseeing the many systems and their beings. But where they are is not her territory, but that of the worse Creator ever to be chosen, and he's always had a liking to Nerys, if not in a good way.
As Rangers, the Rebels still a part of the famed unit, they have sworn to protect all lifeforms, even when far from home. But have they bitten much more than they can chew, or will the luck of the Tardif name stick to the son as well as it does to the father?
Join the Atlantis Rebels as they try and find a way home, to help beings they have only met, and defeat a race that might make the MD robots seem like children.
