From NY Times Bestselling Author Bob Mayer comes a pulse-pounding adventure that spans millennia and defies the boundaries of time itself.
When mysterious gates open across the world's most dangerous waters—the Bermuda Triangle, the Devil's Sea, and Antarctica—former Special Forces operative Eric Dane must assemble an unlikely team to confront an ancient threat that has terrorized humanity for over 10,000 years.
The Shadow is back.
As a Roman legion vanishes into the fog, a priestess guards secrets passed down from the fall of Atlantis, and time itself becomes fluid, Dane discovers that stopping this interdimensional menace will require more than modern weapons and military tactics. It demands sacrifice on an unimaginable scale.
From the volcanic destruction of ancient Thera to the treacherous waters of the Devil's Sea, from the mystery of Carnac's standing stones to a gladiator's final battle, Atlantis: Devil's Sea weaves together multiple timelines in a race to prevent the Shadow from consuming our world.
Joined by Amelia Earhart (yes, THAT Amelia Earhart), a Japanese scientist, a hardened Russian special forces soldier, and the crew of the experimental research vessel FLIP, Dane must navigate portals to other dimensions where the rules of physics—and survival—no longer apply. Ancient crystal skulls hold the key to defeating an enemy that exists between worlds, but using them may cost more than anyone is willing to pay.
Perfect for fans of James Rollins, Steve Berry, and Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, this is military science fiction that combines:
- Ancient mysteries and lost civilizations
- Time travel and parallel dimensions
- Military action and covert operations
- Historical figures in unexpected roles
- High-stakes adventure across multiple timelines
Book 3 in the Atlantis Series can be read as a standalone but rewards series readers with deeper connections to the mythology.
"Mayer keeps the reader guessing by twisting and turning the suspense." —Mystery Gazette

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
