Item description from seller
Language: English. About The Book: Astrologia Munda: Or Astrology in Its Purity by William Ramesey is a foundational 17th-century text aiming to restore astrology to what he considered its true and original form. The book delves into natural astrology, including celestial influences on weather, agriculture, and human affairs, and distinguishes it from judicial astrology. Ramesey combines classical sources with his own interpretations, emphasizing astrology’s role in understanding nature and divine order. The work reflects his effort to legitimize astrology within the scientific and philosophical context of his time. About TheAuthor: William Ramesey (1626–1676) was a Scottish physician and astrologer known for his influential writings on astrology during the 17th century. He studied medicine and practiced both healing and astrological consultation. Ramesey authored Astrologia Restaurata (Astrology Restored), a comprehensive work that sought to defend and revive traditional astrological practices. His writings combined medical knowledge with celestial interpretations, reflecting the period’s intertwined views of science and mysticism.
