Is it possible to be assertive and likeable at the same time? Most of us struggle to find the right balance between being pleasant and expressing ourselves clearly. We want to be friendly, but we also want to set boundaries, stand our ground, speak honestly and get what we want. Too often, we stay silent to avoid discomfort, become defensive when challenged, or feel forced to choose between pleasing others and protecting ourselves. In Be Assertive, Paz Oshran offers a practical method for handling sensitive situations with clarity, confidence and tact. This book will help you: • gain appreciation without constantly pleasing others • stop being taken for granted • express yourself in situations where you usually stay silent • handle confrontation and disagreement with calm confidence • say what you mean without sounding rude, cold or apologetic • build relationships based on honesty, respect and mutual understanding WHAT THIS BOOK OFFERS • A clear explanation of assertiveness as the middle path between passivity and aggression • Practical tools for expressing yourself honestly without damaging relationships • Guidance on recognising passive, aggressive and assertive behaviour patterns • Exercises to improve listening style, speaking style and self-expression • Models for handling sensitive situations, conflict, disagreement and confrontation • Tools to set expectations, maintain boundaries and communicate needs clearly • Techniques for controlling emotional reactions and staying calm in discomfort • Practical missions at the end of sections to help readers apply the method in real life • Insight into how appreciation, apology, rapport and clarity can strengthen communication.…
