Have you sensed God nudging you to write a book, but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you’ve started writing but can’t seem to finish?
Do you struggle to set aside time for your manuscript, or do all the technical details leave you feeling overwhelmed and stagnant?
I feel you. Wrestling with these things when starting your author journey is normal, but don’t let it keep your book on the back burner forever.
Did you know that most people dream of writing a book? Surveys and writing communities say about 80–90% of people have this goal, but only around 3% of aspiring writers actually finish their manuscripts.
My goal with The Aspiring Author’s Workbook is to help you become one of the 3% of finishers.
This step-by-step guide is designed to take you from dreaming about writing a book to holding your finished book in your hands. From receiving your God-given writing assignment to self-publishing and launching your book into the world, you will be equipped for every part of the journey.
Inside, we will walk through how to:
• Answer your writing and publishing questions
• Structure your manuscript with confidence
• Set goals, meet deadlines, and stay accountable
• Understand self-publishing costs and what to expect
• Navigate editing, formatting, and cover design
• Handle publishing logistics like pricing, royalties, and uploads
• Launch, market, and grow your author platform
• Walk in peace and rest throughout the process
With interactive exercises, practical checklists, and clear guidance, this workbook will take you from your first messy draft to a professional, polished book that follows industry best practices, one you can be proud of and that brings glory to God.
