English This historical study examines the development and spread of Irish dancing from its origins in Ireland to Irish communities in England, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Structured as a series of essays, the work explores dance masters, céilí traditions, feiseanna, solo set dances, and the influence of cultural organizations on the preservation and evolution of Irish dance traditions. The book also places Irish dancing within the broader context of migration and diaspora culture, documenting how traditions were adapted and maintained internationally.
