Help Your Children Grow in Faith with the Magic of Narnia!

Do you want to make bedtime more meaningful, peaceful, and faith-filled? Or are you yearning to introduce Christian values in a way that captivates your children’s imagination?

With a new Chronicles of Narnia film coming soon, children everywhere will once again be rediscovering C.S. Lewis’s classic tales—stories where the Gospel is woven into the adventures of a magical land. In this devotional book, you’ll guide your children from the world of Narnia into to their own spiritual journeys, helping them see how faith, perseverance, and friendship play out in both fantasy and real life.

Each devotion:

• Offers a structured Christian bedtime routine to bring comfort, restful sleep, and sweet dreams.
• Connects to Christian beliefs, morals, and values through Narnia’s inspiring role models who are as exciting as any Christian athlete or celebrity.
• Suggests prayers and discussion topics to explore the Christian teachings around teamwork, determination, competition, and devotion.
• Underlines the parallels to Bible stories and Christian people and places, helping your child find moral lessons in both scripture and the world around them.
• Encourages a love for Christian storytelling, offering an enriching recreation alternative to screen time.

Whether you’re reading with a preschooler or encouraging elementary-aged children to read by themselves, these reflections will deepen children's relationships with Jesus, strengthen their moral foundations, create special moments of faith-filled connection, and turn bedtime into a journey of faith and inspiration. Also perfect for family devotionals, Sunday school classes, and Vacation Bible Schools.

Reviews

In Following Aslan, Kenneth McIntosh spins C.S. Lewis’ thought-provoking fantasy into simple life-changing concepts and easily applied truths that transform our thinking and renew the focus of our daily lives. I believe Lewis would be pleased.
—Skeet Savage, Editor, Home School Digest

C.S. Lewis is one of the Christian faith’s best theologians, and his Chronicles of Narnia are some of his finest theology. Though written for children in story form, they provide readers the taste and feel of truth. In Following Aslan, Kenneth McIntosh helps children and their parents sample this feast. Here is a book that invites family discussion around both Lewis’s stories and the Christian story.
— Robert K. Johnston, Professor of Theology and Culture, Fuller Theological Seminary

As a homeschooling mom of a seven-year-old, I like how Following Aslan not only . . . allows children to see Christ in C.S. Lewis’ literary work, but also . . . teaches them to communicate with him through the simple yet powerful prayers. It’s . . . a useful homeschooling tool for a parent connecting a literary work of fantasy with Jesus Christ.
—Gemma Hollmann, parent

Scripture teaches that one must become as a little child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Kenneth R. McIntosh understands this. Addressing the youngest members of the Kingdom, he reveals the Truth of Narnia in simple, direct words that will guide our children and enrich us as we nurture them. In these devotions C.S. Lewis’s mere Christianity shines light on the way in which we should go.
—John Leax, former creative writing professor and poet-in-residence at Houghton College

Kenneth McIntosh effectively translates the allegory of C.S. Lewis in stories that help children understand their faith. With the excitement generated by the movie, Chronicles of Narnia—The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, this book can assist parents and teachers who wish to enrich religious education instruction.
