In Ascend: Path to Personal Excellence, Chad Brocato introduces readers to the MAP=C framework, a practical and transformational approach to personal growth built upon the principles of Maintenance, Attainment, Purpose, and ultimately Contentment. Drawing from decades of experience in leadership, emergency services, law, business coaching, and personal development, Brocato presents a clear roadmap for individuals seeking greater success, fulfillment, and intentional living.
Too often, people pursue goals without first defining what truly matters to them. They become trapped in cycles of burnout, distraction, financial stress, and unfulfilled ambition while chasing success that lacks meaning and direction. Ascend challenges readers to think differently by helping them identify their starting point, clarify their values, and align their actions with a purpose-driven strategy for life.
The book explores topics including leadership, mindset, resilience, goal setting, personal accountability, time management, financial growth, self-renewal, and long-term vision. Through practical lessons, relatable examples, and actionable insights, readers learn how to preserve what matters most while building momentum toward future success. Rather than offering temporary motivation, Ascend provides a sustainable framework for personal and professional development that can be applied across every area of life.
Brocato's unique background-from firefighter and paramedic to fire chief, attorney, entrepreneur, educator, and speaker-brings a rare perspective on leadership under pressure, decision-making, and the importance of clarity in moments that matter most. His experiences reinforce one of the book's central messages: success without purpose often leads to emptiness, while intentional growth creates lasting fulfillment.
Whether you are seeking professional advancement, stronger leadership skills, financial freedom, personal growth, or a renewed sense of purpose, Ascend offers a practical blueprint for becoming more effective, focused, and fulfilled. It is a guide for individuals who are ready to stop drifting through life and begin building it with intention.
