Add to basket1941-1942, 3 issues (December 1941, January 1942, and March 1942), 8vo (7 1/8 x 10 in - 18.1 x 25.7 cm), staple bound monthly magazines with paper wraps, front covers illustrated with photographs, text entirely in Japanese with only the publication and publisher's information in English (on back cover), reads Japanese style (back to front), numerous reproductions of photographs, camera trade and photographic equipment and supplies advertisements - some in color, printed on newspaper type paper with photographic images printed on a slightly higher quality paper with a light gloss, pages not numbered but each issue ca 64~90 pages. Each issue contains scenes of everyday life in wartime Japan. Comments regarding the December 1941 issue (Volume 32:6). Front cover shows a Naval ship at sea. Other images include: mountain climbing, rice harvesting, military/war scenes in China and elsewhere, a two page spread with Japanese war ships, micro-photography and horses in Japan (military and civilian use). 92 pages. Comments regarding the January 1942 issue (Volume 33:1). Front cover shows a bomber preparing for take off with propeller rotating and bombs in the foreground. Other images include: handmade pottery manufacturing, close up images of insects, military training and centerfold with scenic spots. 64 pages. Comments regarding the March 1942 issue (Volume 33:3). Front cover shows a flower and other plant life/sea life in multi-color and color bars. Other images include; Japanese military operations on land, sea and air, German military operations, sumo wrestling, processing seaweed. 88 pages. The publication was published continuously on a monthly basis from April 1926 through April 1942. Publication was totally suspended for the period from May 1942 through September 1949. These issues in this unit represent 3 of the last 5 issues published before the wartime suspension of publication. The January and March 1942 issues are two of the four issues in Volume 33. ~~ Condition. The magazines are in Good condition. All have weakness where the front and back covers join at the spine. The December 1941 and January 1942 issues have the strongest spines with about 50% chipped away/broken. The March 1942 issue has a very weak spine and the front and back covers are almost detached. Approximately 90% of the spine is broken on the March issue. The covers have numerous chips and small tears and are lightly soiled. The rear cover of the January 1942 issue has a water stained area in the upper left corner of the back cover and this extends inward for 6 pages. Internally the magazines are clean with no marking or staining. The pages with newspaper type paper are aged. There are numerous small tears (2 cm or smaller) in the margins but none extend into the text area. The centerfold page in the January 1942 issue is loose.

Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to George C. Baxley, Alamogordo, New Mexico, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
