Artificial Intelligence in Construction Project Management is a practical and forward-looking guide to how AI is transforming the construction industry.
Construction projects are becoming more complex, data-driven, and time-sensitive than ever before. Project managers, engineers, contractors, and decision-makers are under constant pressure to improve efficiency, control costs, reduce delays, manage risks, and maintain safety. This book shows how Artificial Intelligence can help meet those challenges in real construction environments.
Written in a clear and accessible style, this book explains how AI technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, predictive analytics, digital monitoring, and smart data systems can be applied to key areas of construction project management. It explores how AI can improve planning and scheduling, cost estimation, budget control, risk management, safety monitoring, BIM integration, and construction site progress tracking.
The book also examines the growing role of digital transformation in construction, including the use of BIM, IoT, drones, robotics, digital twins, and smart infrastructure systems. Rather than focusing only on theory, it presents practical insights, industry relevance, and strategic recommendations that help readers understand how AI can be introduced effectively in construction organizations.
Whether you are a construction professional, project manager, engineer, student, researcher, or technology enthusiast, this book will help you understand the opportunities, challenges, and future potential of AI in the built environment.
Inside this book, you will discover:- How AI is reshaping construction project management
- The role of machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision in construction
