A love story showing two sides of the same coin.. a marriage of convenience. ••••••••••••••••••••• Kemoni is a ruthless killer forced to marry because of family traditions. Noelle is a girl who just wanted to have fun.. even if that meant marrying a random rich man for free vacations.
"When will you grow up Kemoni? You need to find a wife.." I looked at my mama scrunchin my face as I leaned on my truck. "My wife ain't gone run the business so what does it matter?" "Because everyone is watchin you! The other families are all passin the torch so we need to as well." I shook my head as I put my hand in the band on my pants. "Ion give a fuck bout that ma, foreal. Them niggas weak as fuck and yall know that." "It's family tradition Money." My pops said makin me look at him. "So yall forcin me?" "No." "Yes." My mama looked at me dad once she heard he disagreed.
She turned to face him, crossin her arms. "We'll lose our respect John! And that's all we have wit them.. the money doesn't matter, it's bout the respect and traditions." She turned to look at me again so I rolled my eyes. "Me and yo father got married within 3 days of knowin each other and look how well we worked out." Yeah.. after you cheated on him a million times. "We can't just fake some paperwork?" My mama looked at me like I offended her. "And lose our respect with the other families? Are you crazy Kemoni?!" As much as I loved the work I did in the business, the rules and shit I had to follow were stupid as fuck.
They want you to be married by 25, have at least 2 kids by 30 and all typa crazy shit. Back in the day that shit might been okay but it ain't coo wit me. All the sons of families are round the same, so we all ain't meet the requirement of marriage by 1-2 years. Unfortunately for me tho, I'm bout to be 28 this year and I don't have a wife nor kids. The other sons have at least one or the other.. It ain't a big deal to me cause I'm gonna make it in the business regardless, ion care bout bein disowned or nunadat. The only problem is I'm the only child so they would disown my whole family.
