About the book >.>.> We both really like birds and do what we can to keep them around. Some of them are here throughout the winter, and are happy to partake of the seeds and bread crumbs that we hang up or set out in bowls and on trays And when spring comes, we're always happy when we hear our seasonal friends twittering outside our bedroom window for the first time. After the ice and snow melt, we can count on seeing the same pair of red-breasted mer gansers that come back year after year to nest in the area around the water near our house. It's always a welcome visit! In the summer, it's showtime when Mom and Dad fly into the birdhouse to feed their young-not to then tion the charming spectacle the little ones make when they squeak and peep to make it absolutely clear that they want to have dinner. Let Arne & Carlos guide you on a journey into the colourful and imaginative bird kingdom! Inspired by nature both at home and abroad, from their garden in Tonsåsen comes the characteristic bullfinch, chickadee and wagtail, to name a few – but the fun doesn't stop there. Knit cold weather birds with Norwegian traditional patterns, and keep them warm with bird-sized wool caps and scarves; make brilliant birds-of-paradise decorated with embroidery, sequins, and feathers; or spread your wings a little further with birds featuring vintage Mexican embroidery motifs. These delightful birds can be used as decorations year-round, but they may tend to migrate towards the Christmas tree when the time approaches. With clear instructions, helpful diagrams and full-colour photographs, it’s time for every knitter’s imagination to take flight.
